This is all greek to me. What is Terra Cognos?
When we invented the MemeWeb to store packets of knowledge we call Lexi, and the Astra Interface to explore them, we had more than a plugin, or a Search Engine, or an Encyclopedia, We had the makings of a true Internet Library, which we call Terra Cognos, loosely translated as Human Knowledge.
But Google & Wikipedia already act as libraries!
A Library centers around storing & retrieving information. Google & Wikipedia does that. The Internet is global, and content pours in from all over the web, so Google & Wikipedia are global. But they’re not a Library.
Then, what is a library?
That is the question. A Library is so much more than a storage of queryable data…
- Online data tools are designed for search, a library like Terra Cognos>/em> is designed for discovery and Learning..
- A Library is also a Community Center
- A Library is the center of Research
Terra Cognos is an improvement on traditional libraries
- It’s digital. We have all the space we need.
- The Archivist, Cataloguers &librarian is software and the ASTRA Interface self-service.
- Using the ASTRA Interface, search & discover by clicking tree links
- We provide rich context as well as content
- With trees & pathways, learn more quickly & efficiently than you can with Google, Wikipedia or even ChatGPT.
Alone of all of these services, the Simili MemeWeb & ASTRA Interface offer trees, built from tags, to search, explore, discover & learn with. It also features multiple trees that in the future will automatically appear or disappear depending on the current state of your meander. But most of all, we intend to build a Library. The people, technology, industry, economy & intent makes a true Library.
A Library, like a tree, is an eco-system. Building this Library will require a non-profit, non-governmental, non-ecumenical organization called The Authority, running the first generations of data cores we call The Hive, which gathers, classifies, crunches content into a searchable form, we call The Lexicon. MemeWeb propagates the Lexicon into a blockchain networks we call The Swarm which contains sharded copies of the Lexicon, running some version of the ASTRA Interface.
MemeWeb will involve companies, including content providers, developers, freelancers, curators, data scouts, AI, Data Scientists studying the vast flow of telemetry data. Entities will pay for data using a Digital Currency, automated wallets running AI-friendly transactions. You could even purchase digital currency, or invest in a private company taking part in this growing ecosystem.
MemeWeb is a proposal for storing all humanity’s knowledge. It proposes one way we can give our descendents the means to take that knowledge to the stars. And, to top this dizzying possibility, using Quantum Entanglement, we could sync Human Knowledge throughout the Galaxy.
