Context – Content – Data – Knowledge – Wisdom

The most important thing to understand about context is where it falls in the scheme of Meaning, data, knowledge and Wisdom?

Context is many things, but it has one main principle:

It is a frame that gives something that by itself does not have a form, form. Like pieces of wood used to create rectangular segments of concrete.

It takes many forms. Context is who’s asking. A related meme. The time of day. The venue. THe characters involved. The genre. The sub-genre.

The Simili Mythos plugin uses these as context for trees & tags:

• The Website scope: Site-wise, Content type-wise, Category-wise. The Site uses all a site articles, type all posts of that type, and categories, all posts assocaited with a tree link.
• The Flavor. Flavors are the most popular tags of a site scope, Athena builds trees flavored by each concept, making it the root of that tree & the tag taht owns all the posts refered to by that tree.
• The tree, its boughs, branches and categories/link. Each link belongs to a bough and branch.
• Posts in each scope. Each scope has all or a portion of a site posts. The tags in those posts elect their most popular tags, which becomes an Essence.
• Essence. A set of tags that either describe a thing or lists its narratives. This is the heart of MemeWeb, describing a thing’s essence to us humans as well as software.
• Co-tags. Tag pairs determine the boughs of an Athena tree, tags that appear together in more than 2 posts. Tag clusters become Essences. We also call this Atomic

Context is not meaning until it is paired with content. In the context of Simili, a tree & its tags, essences & memes are context and the posts content. This is why we say a Flavored Tree, with its posts is a quantum of Knowledge, or Lexus.

People speak much about the omniscience of AI. I say AI can process massive data & come up with a sophisticated value. AI chains concepts, it does context, it processes meaning in a way that almost look like Wisdom, but is not.

Wisdom is still a human nature. Because Wisdom combines knowledge in very personal ways to derive not only meaning, but also action, Governance, the answers to Nature’s riddles. Wisdom is Context-to-action and action-to-context. Wisdom is also the creation of new Context. AIs can work with context, but only Humans can set them, for now.
