ASTRA – Advanced Semantic Tree Retrieval Agent, is a great concept & narrative discovery tool for websites. But it is also a profound, revolutionary technology that adds an entirely new paradigm to learning. Not only can MemeWeb create the 1st Internet Library for Humanity- Terra Cognos, it can create a free, online, always-available University, Academia Humanitas ,By mastering a Lexicon of a set of concepts that act as curriculum for one of many degrees.
Subjective, DIY
ASTRA serves Learning Trees, or Lexi that offer different thematic pathways into its concepts & narratives. The reader chooses pathways instinctively by how much they personally relate to a set of tags. What constitutes knowledge is subjective & depends wholly on how a particular bit of knowledge satisfies the reader.
Random Access
When viewing generated trees like Athena, the ASTRA Interface offers a random-access sampling of its knowledge. Though inherently incomplete a sampling is within the website, the reader will seek out similar concepts on other sites, adding to their passionate pursuit of particular knowledge, what we call a Pilgrimage. Once you start building pathways in your brain, you will encounter these concepts everywhere, due to Context Sensitivity.
sites concepts & narrative, they can use the Classic Tree.
At its inception, occupying single websites as a plugin, that completeness is unlikely, and it will take a stand-alone search-and-browse space called MemeWeb, with millions of websites to allow pathways covering a multitude of sites. But the technology makes this a possibility where none existed before.
Affinity
This is a simple principle. If a reader likes the concepts, they are more likely to retain knowledge from posts, meta values, hierarchy & essences.
Encapsulation
This is an enhanced technology that will need to be built, but since a flavored tree & its collection of posts constitute a Lexus, larger trees can either incorporate them directly or progressively include them as a separate tree.
This then creates a set of Lexicons that themselves can be encapsulated. This is the basis of the free online University, since Lexicons can be treated as curriculum from which degrees can be offered upon a reader’s mastery of the concepts.
Organic Learning
In Organic Learning, A reader needs not know what paths they take in their travels among boughs, but decide link to link where they go next.
Content providers no longer need to impose rigid structure or completeness to their content, instead relying on an inviolate set of core values that provide an inherent structure to the site.
The Soul Book
Soon, we will be building the 1st Generation Soul Book. This would be a growing tree built from articles you read, and over time will become your personal knowledgebase.
The Audio series He Who Fights with Monsters features Soul Spaces, personal inter-dimensional storage spaces. BUt if you do not read that series, you can think of it as an external brain-drive.
The 1st generation will save your Soul Book on the website. When we build MemeWeb, it will be available to you on any device, as long as you give your credentials.
What can you do with your Soul Book? Over time, we intend to build a complete application to manage your Book,
At this point, we are not sure. There are lots of possibilities, so long as we add them to what will be an ever-expanding tool-set. In its raw form, it will be too cumbersome to deal with, so we’ll have ways to spawn your book into other forms. You can browse it like you can browse this website with Trees. We can have fun coming up with clever, powerful ways to extract & put together your own knowledge, and it can be included in the Browse-space & take part in a Marketplace.
It could also be used to identify you, as credentials. If we register your growing Soul Book< and the access security is good enough, your being logged in as the Soul could be your bona fide.
