Since Memes are at the heart of MemeWeb, it deserves a few Words.

A Meme used to be a visual aid, or an image. Then, the Internet & Social Media came along and its meaning changed to include tags for hot gossip.
Memes are associated with tags, which is what MemeWeb trees, essences are built on. But there’s more to it than that. Simili is expanding its meaning.
A Meme is a concept. A Classifier. Context. It is also the vessels for new concepts as they are minted from reality. Also, Memes don’t have to be a single concept or tag. It can be a set of tags.
Simili builds trees like Athena using Memes, by finding clusters of tags. When you group tags and those groups of tags occur in multiple posts, you have a context-rich way of describing that set of posts. Establishing a set of tags, or categories and a linked set of posts gives us Trees, Lexus, Lexicons and learning. And this can be done automatically with software, using fairly simple statistics. This means we have a way of getting knowledge from Internet content in one website, or a million once a million website owners join our Browse-space.
Right now, all we have is one WordPress plugin written by a blind guy. We will be recruiting people & support to build a search site, a big sister to the plugin. There is a lot of work to do, but I made the first, difficult steps, which initself, is a meme.
